Instructions for use
If you don’t want to hear anything that is written in this guide, if you think it has nothing to do with you and you already know it all, it could be that you are standing in your own way. Consider the possibility that you are wrong. Your ego, your head, your thoughts are afraid of change. This can be a valuable protective device. But at the same time it paralyses your creativity and your potential. It’s time to kick someone’s arse.
First person:
This guide is the perfect shoe for your arse. It lovingly sets you on your way. It is written in the first person. This gives you the feeling that you are talking to yourself. Because nobody else but yourself is allowed to kick your pretty arse.
Liability:
This guide is not a substitute for a doctor or professional coach. The responsibility for your personal wellbeing lies solely in your own hands. If you are unsure, please seek professional help.
Gender female/male:
It is very sad and an indictment of our society that people are categorised as inferior because of their gender. If you catch yourself doing this: Just don’t do it! Above all, you are harming yourself. You’re only half as good if you don’t integrate the other side into your life.
At NOFOR there is always a female and a male version of the texts. You decide how you feel addressed. If words such as partner or boyfriend are used in examples, I rely on your creativity to mould them into the form that is right for you. Every loving connection between people is absolutely equal. No matter which gender someone feels connected to. Thank you for being flexible with your boundaries.
Citation:
NOFOR deliberately does not cite any sources. It’s supposed to be about what was said, not who said it. I have the feeling that people often just want to make themselves important when they quote great thinkers. However, the aim should be to make the substance of these important thoughts understandable.
In addition, the author of many quotations cannot be identified with certainty. Shakespeare, for example, is often accused of quotes that probably did not originate from him. And furthermore, Shakespeare may have picked up a quote somewhere and then passed it on.
Everything in this guide is a mixture of the books I’ve read, the conversations I’ve had with other people and my own personal experiences. So I didn’t invent it, I just remixed it. Use everything in here to make yourself and your world a better place.
Below you will find a list of books and authors that have inspired me and whose content can be found in NOFOR.
Diary:
You need a blank booklet or notebook that you can work with like a diary. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take much effort. You do everything at your own pace and with your own energy. I’ll show you what you can do with it in the chapters.
